Kim Lindén
I am a qualified Finnish language teacher (MA) with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. With over 20 years of experience in teaching Finnish at various levels, I have focused on adult education since 2002. My specialities include the commercial and restaurant industries. I develop both oral and written language skills, adapting lessons to each student’s level and objectives. If needed, I use Swedish, English, or German to support learning. My goal is to make language learning both effective and enjoyable.
Marjut Heikkinen
As a Finnish language teacher (MA), I have been teaching Finnish as a second language since 2007, primarily to adults. I have worked with learners from diverse backgrounds and varying proficiency levels, particularly those at elementary and basic language skills. My students often say that learning Finnish with me is fun and that I open their eyes and ears to the Finnish language. If necessary, I can provide instruction in English, Spanish, German, Swedish and basic Russian.
Heini Hosio
I am a qualified teacher of Finnish language and literature with nine years of experience in middle schools, integration services and vocational educational. Currently, I focus on teaching Finnish to immigrants in vocational schools and corporate settings. Additionally, I advocate for municipal sector education. My approach is empathetic and student-centered, helping learners develop the skills they need for everyday and professional life. In my classes, we work hard, but we also laugh and enjoy the learning process!
Klaus Grönqvist
I am a dyed-in-the-wool Swedish-speaking Finn with roots in Porvoo and Lahti. Although Swedish is my mother tongue, I completed both my schooling and university education in Finnish. This bilingual background gives me strong qualifications for teaching both Finnish and Swedish. I am trained as a classroom teacher and have spent approximately 20 years teaching in Finnish and Swedish-speaking schools, specializing in primary education and the broader field of education in general. In addition, I have worked in adult education, which I find especially rewarding. My teaching approach is student-centered, focusing on developing each learner’s language skills according to their abilities and interests.
